Henry Ford is quoted as saying, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right.” The goal of this workshop is to help learners focus on those stories that will help them think that they can by addressing a gap between the levels of confidence and self-efficacy often experienced by new leaders, and the higher levels typical of more tenured leaders. The instruction will encourage learners to become aware of the stories they tell themselves and their impact, and help them develop stories or habits of self-talk that will build confidence in their ability as leaders. In a safe, in-person, and interactive environment, learners will engage in experiential activities and dialogue with each other in small groups and as a class. Through purposeful activities and reflection, learners will close the gap between their current and ideal levels of confidence.
